#2: Lobster Ravioli Preparation

This section tells you how to prepare lobster ravioli. Happy cooking!

First, add the butter to a sauté pan and let it melt. Then, add the shallots and garlic and let it sauté until it turns golden brown. Add the crab, lobster, and chives and sauté them for 2-3 minutes. Add the Cognac and reduce, and sauté for 2 minutes. After that, remove from the heat and let it cool for 25-30 minutes.

Next, you have to chop the mixture of lobster into smaller pieces or chunks. Combine the ricotta and mixture of lobster into a large bowl, and season with pepper and salt.

Put one piece of pasta dough on the table and place a ¼ ounce of stuffing two-inches apart. Brush the egg white all over the stuffing with a pastry brush. Do the same with the other piece of pasta dough. Cover the piece’s bottom with stuffing. Press it all over each piece of ravioli but avoid squeezing it too much. Then, cut each piece of ravioli into a round shape using the ravioli cutter. Put the cut ravioli on a sprinkled semolina sheet pan. Finally, place the ravioli in boiling water and cook it for 8-10 minutes.

#3: Pasta Dough Preparation

Preparing the pasta dough is not as complicated as preparing the lobster ravioli is. Just follow the instructions carefully in this section.

Firstly, add all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl until they are blended. Place your mixture on the countertop and knead it until it’s well mixed and smooth.

Then, separate the dough into 2 pieces and put 1 of them aside. Flour the first piece with a rolling pin until it’s about a 1/8th inch thick.

Repeat the process with the other piece of dough.

#4: Crabmeat Cream Sauce Preparation

Finally, I will teach you how to prepare this precious sauce.

  • Firstly, add the shallots and butter on a medium heat in a 12-inch sauté pan. Sauté the ingredients until the shallots become translucent.
  • Next, add the crabmeat and sauté again for 2 minutes. Take the sauté pan from the stovetop, add the Cognac and put the pan on the stove again. Adding the Cognac will produce a flame. If this stops, add the cream and tomato sauce and cook until it becomes creamy.
  • Now you have the sauce, add the ravioli you cooked earlier. Cook it together for a minute before you finally serve it with a garnish.

#5: Benefits Of Crabmeat In Your Cream Sauce

Crabmeat cream sauce is not just delicious in this dish, but it also has many health benefits. First of all, crabmeat provides minerals and vitamins. It is rich in Vitamin B12 that helps to convert the food into energy. Crab meat provides phosphorus, which is important for strong bones, and the mineral selenium, which is an antioxidant.

Three ounces of crabmeat is said to provide 16-20 grams of protein. Protein is a macronutrient that helps you to create cells and maintain muscles. It also helps you to fuel your metabolism.

Apart from being used in a cream sauce for lobster ravioli, crabmeat can also be used to top green salads and in sandwich fillings.

However, there are people who don’t want to use crabmeat in cream sauces for pasta because it’s not the healthiest way to enjoy it. You can still enjoy the crabmeat cream in your lobster ravioli, however, with proper preparation and cooking!

#6: Benefits Of Lobster Ravioli

The other seafood in your dish, apart from the crabmeat, is lobster. I have discussed the benefits of crabmeat earlier, so now I will provide information about the benefits of lobster.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, it is a rich source of selenium and copper. A cup of lobster contains 1 gram of fat, 28 grams of protein, 2% of Vitamin A, 129 calories and 2% of iron.

Eating more seafood decreases your risk of getting diabetes, obesity and heart disease, and it also reduces cholesterol.

Selenium, which can be found in lobsters, is an essential component of the thyroid function. The study shows that people with thyroid disease can improve their health by consuming a lot of selenium source foods. Omega-3 fatty acids, which decrease impulsivity, aggression, and depression, can also be found in lobster.

Lobster ravioli, therefore, gives us a lot of nutritional benefits. As does the crabmeat in the cream sauce.

Apart from eating delicious pasta, you will get healthier. Isn’t that amazing? Incorporating lobster in your main dish, pasta, rice dishes or the patty in burgers, will help you to consume more lobster.
